S&A Cherokee Wins Two MarCom Awards

Cary, N.C., Nov. 8, 2012 — S&A Cherokee, a full-service communications firm, recently received two MarCom Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).

The company earned a Gold Award in the category of Brochure/Sales Promotion for its work on behalf of the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The sales brochure, titled “Shaping North Carolina’s Future,” was used by the Chamber to recruit potential new members.

A photograph that appeared in the November/December 2011 issue of S&A Cherokee’s Cary Magazine received an Honorable Mention in the category of Photography/Magazine. The winning submission was featured in the “Independent Brew” feature story for Common Grounds coffeehouse.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition recognizing the outstanding creative achievement by communication and marketing professionals, and has about 6,000 entrants per year. Entrants range from individually-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies. The competition contains more than 200 categories in seven forms of media and communications efforts.
